Dear friends: We are beginning a new year here in Umasbamba and this will be the last one. We are accomplishing our goal of working with this school for 5 years! And we feel so grateful that you had made this possible. The happiness of the children who experienced this project will be enlightening our paths in life.
We have began the workshop the 2nd of May and we are working with the children everyday after providing their lunch. The plan is to prepare the new cast during this month and do six performances outside of the community during the year so the children can have some fun traveling and also share their culture and heritage with other people.
The Municipality of Cusco has asked us to perform in the city at the end of May so that presentation will be perfect to close the workshop.
This year we are incorporating some students from 3rd grade too. Knowing that is our last year at the school they are really wanting to be part of the experience so are their parents.
It is a big challenge to complete our annual budget because we just relay on the support of friends like you who trust in art and education. We have got enough to complete the workshop this year but we need to get the funds to do our gira.If you want to support us with that please contact us¡
Here some pictures of the training. Enjoy!
