THEATRICAL TRAINING 2011 FOURTH WEEK AND DEBUT

We have finished the theater workshop of this year. What we will do next is going out to perform! Thank you for your support. All this fun and experience for the children it is thanks to your generosity and confidence in this educational and art project.
We have been invited to do a show in an international theater festival in Lima in September! Teachers, children and parents are all excited. The organizers will cover all our expenses and we just need to get our airplane tickets and transportation for the props and some extra money to visit  interesting places there. We want to do  few shows before that "to be in good shape". It is great that the traditional culture will be shown in the big city by the quechua children!
We were invited to do a show for the second year anniversary of a high school in a neighboor community and it came out perfect to close the workshop. It was also nice because many of the children who study there have been part of this theater experience in previous years. They were very enthusiastic to see the young kids performing the same characters they use to do once.
Here some pictures of the last rehearsal and the show. Enjoy!

The 70 kids and the teachers all jumped up in this truck to go to CuperAlto community up the hill. This is the common transportation in the high andean communities.

Before the celebration program begins, the children are looking at the younger kids rehearsaling a nice traditional dance.
